Ken Hitchcock said after the game that Oshie is day to day, and that it was a hard hit for him to take. Regardless, Rupp will get a call from the league and at least a fine, if not a suspension. Either way, Rupp is likely done in a Wild jersey this season.
And John Curry. Oh my. What can you say about him tonight besides OH MY GOD. 43 saves on 45 shots. He said after the game he was so nervous all day that all he could was sit in his apartment and watch TV. Honestly, this was one of the best goalie performances I've ever seen.
The Wild have one final game before the playoffs get started. While their spot is locked, their opponent is not. Colorado can still catch St. Louis, and Anaheim is in the top seed at the moment. With the meltdown that St Louis is having, it's quite possible that the Wild will face Colorado in the 1st round. It will be interesting to scoreboard watch the next few days.
The Wild are 6-0-1 in their last 7 games. 5 of those 7 games were against tough teams that are in the playoffs, and 1 of the remaining 2 games was against a team fighting for a playoff spot. Hopefully this keeps the team energized to go and makes some noise in the playoffs.
