Games against the Oilers usually go well for the Wild. The boys in white had a chance to gain some momentum with a win tonight, maybe get some offense going, get some confidence.

So that was it, game o.... what? OH MY GOD! WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY? Dany Heatley scores with 1.2 seconds to go in the game? Well shiver me timbers, tie game! Heatley assisted by Setoguchi and Bouchard. He sure chose a sweet time to shake off that goal-less streak! WOW! Overtime it is, then.

The video feed died for me at overtime, but from what I heard on the radio, it was a flurry of chances for both sides. Shots were 4-2 in favor of the Oilers in the extra frame, but the deadlock wasn't broken, so the second shootout in as many games between the division rivals took place.

    ...WHAT? The Wild won. Oh....my.....God...

That's just amazing... too bad it's 1:15 AM here at my cousin's house, I felt like doing a backflip. Make no mistake though, the Wild did not deserve to pilfer two points from the Oilers, this was a miracle, pure and simple. The Wild are putrid in the offensive zone and serious work needs to be done. We all thought the goals would come this season, both for the Wild and for the opponents, but it's been the other way around. The Wild are 3-2-2, but they could easily be 1-6-0. For now, let's just rejoice.

    Peace out.

    Fun facts:

The Wild would have been shutout in Edmonton for only the second time in their history. The only time was on their first ever trip to Edmonton back in 2000, on November 3rd.

    2. Nikolai Khabibulin (30 saves, not perfect on the shootout.)

    3. Dany Heatley (1 goal on seven shots. Saved the game.)
