Not to be the negative Nancy of the net, but this has all the makings of a bad night. The Canucks are going to come into this angry after the last meeting with the Wild. So many of the Nucks talked about how that game was the worst they had ever played, been involved in, or at least played in a Nucks sweater. With the Wild coming into their house, they are going to want to exact revenge.
Add that to the fact the Wild are still hurting, despite getting Bouchard back, and things could be ugly. Or, the team could pull together, find a groove and find a way to win. With the standings the way they are, a win is a five point lead in the division, a loss is only 3. Everyone knows two points are always two points, but tonight it's four.
The Nucks have played just as well as the Wild, with both teams driving as far and as fast as they can, racking up points, and not looking back. The biggest difference? The Nucks seem to be mostly healthy. The Sedins could have a field day with the AHL shut down guys on the roster if the Wild aren't very careful, and as much fun as we direct at Luongo, with many of the offensive threats still out, the chances are going to have to be ugly types.
Pretty has no place here.
There has been little doubt cast here at HW this year. There is some strong doubt tonight. Usually they prove us wrong, maybe they can again.
