  • Minnesota Wild Sign Josh Harding, Avoid Arbitration

    Guest

The real question now is ... does this put Harding directly on the hot seat to be moved? I would say that if he would've signed a longer-term deal, it would have been more likely. With a one-year deal, it would still be a risk to a team hoping for a rent-a-player. Harding isn't that guy yet. He'd be more likely to be a long-term guy to take over a job rather than a missing part. Now, if he signs an extension in-season, and this was simply to avoid arbitration, then he's likely gone. He's a very tradeable asset, and would be a good piece for a young team.
