Well, Tyler Cuma was supposed to make his debut, per Russo, but it turns out no one is above Murphy's Law. Cuma tweeted that he missed the connecting flight from Houston to Phoenix, so he will not be in the lineup. That kid just cannot catch a break. Who skates instead? Probably no one. Should be good times.
On to the game.
Games against the Coyotes just don't have the same appeal as those against other teams. For one, we get along far too well with Yotes fans. It doesn't help that we're friends with the guy who runs the Yotes sister site. I mean, how are we supposed to poke fun and enrage them when they know all the buttons we're going to press (mostly because they helped devise those buttons).
Ah well, we'll have to muddle through.
The Yotes are fighting for the playoffs. They have a reason to win. The Wild are done. They don't have a reason to win. If you tell there is pride involved, I may question your sanity. The Wild players want to win, I get it. They care, and want to play their damndest to do just that. However, they flat out aren't good enough, and a revenge win just isn't a realistic expectation.
We all want the players to do well. No one is going to scream at them for winning. They deserve a win. However, losses are better for the franchise right now. It's just the way things are, and will be for the rest of the season.
Five Questions:
*That last one was just for Travis. I love the Yotes, and the fact they are where they are.
