The third period started even worse. The Islanders managed to tie the game up and left Wild fans everywhere wondering what the hell had just happened. How does a team go from complete domination to looking like the mighty mites in just 20 minutes?
The Wild gave up a goal, scored a goal, and then immediately gave up another goal. Game, set, match.
It's no surprise that I am a huge Yeo backer. The guys that currently (and have in the past) play for him would walk through fire for him. But this type of play is beyond out of control.
I'm not ready to say Yeo has to go, but something needs to change. The leadership in the locker room needs to step up, regardless on if this is a coaching issue or not. If Yeo gets canned, it's not going to turn this team around. It will not help the team play better defense, or score more than their opponent. This is an all around effort from just about every player and coach in the room just not showing up. Or trying too hard to show up, and blowing it completely.
