To say the Wild came out flat would be an understatement. Being outshot 9-2 in the first period and down 2-0, you would think they forgot the game was at noon until they showed up at the rink and realized it wasn't the traditional morning skate. Slow, flat, dragging, out of sync. All of those would be apropos in describing the first period.
Here's hoping things turn around quickly tomorrow night and the equipment truck doesn't start on fire in Ottawa.
