The Wild finished the first half of the season with 48 points, in second place in the Northwest division and sixth place in the Western conference, but just one point ahead of last season's pace, even with their tremendous November. If you would have asked me at the beginning of the season if I would have been happy with this pace, given the rash of injuries the team has faced, I would have said yes. However, given their position on December 1st, I think most Wild fans would agree that one point ahead of the pace that saw a coach fired and a team overhauled is unacceptable. So, it's time for the squad to take a long, hard look in the mirror and ask themselves if they are abiding by the "every player, every shift" mantra, because frankly I don't think every player is giving it their all on every shift.
It's a 9:17 start tonight, too bad realignment was voted down by the NHLPA.
