  • Mikko Koivu out at least a week with knee injury

    Guest

The Minnesota Wild have been dealt a major blow, as captain and leading scorer Mikko Koivu will be sidelined at least a week with a knee injury, and could miss the rest of the regular season.

Tom Lynn says Koivu had an MRI on Monday and will be out at least seven days.

This is obviously a major problem, and will place even more pressure on Marian Gaborik to perform immediately.
