Today the Minnesota Wild announced on twitter that they have signed Jordan Greenway, their 2015 2nd round pick (50th overall), to a 3 year entry-level contract entry-level contract. Greenway’s first contract year will be burned to end this season and the contract will cover the next two seasons as well. His contract will have a cap hit of $925,000, but it is likely to have schedule A and B bonuses which will raise the cap hit.
Greenway scored 13 goals and 35 points for Boston University in 36 games this season and was a part of Team USA at the Olympics scoring one goal in 5 games there. In College Greenway has played both Center and Left Wing.
According to Michael Russo of The Athletic, Greenway will meet the Wild in Nashville, and he is expected to debut this week. The Wild sent Zach Mitchell down to Iowa after the signing so it looks like Greenway will slot in as winger on the Wild.
