Life presents many opportunities to succeed, to rise above, to beat the challenge and be the best of the best. There are also times when life sets you up simply to get beaten to a pulp and remind you that the world is a cruel, cruel place.
Our contest thus far has been ugly for the underdog. Dean Youngblood, from the aptly titled Youngblood, runs head long into a legend today. After winning the right to be in the competition in a play-in round, it seems Rob Lowe is up against the wall. Nine times out of ten, Herb is going to win this.
I don't think Al Michaels is available.
Still, who knows? Maybe you folks have an issue with an actual person being in the competition of fictional characters. After all, Brooks is the only actual person to make the field. So, it is up to you, once again. Time to vote.
Herb Brooks (Miracle, 2004)
From IMDB:
Answer me a question before you continue... how in the hell does Miracle only get a 7.4 out of 10? People make me angry.
