  • Gameday Thread: Wild vs. Golden Knights (6 p.m.)

‘Cause I’m back on the track

    And I’m beatin’ the flack

Nobody’s gonna get me on another rap

    So look at me now

    I’m just makin’ my play

Don’t try to push your luck, just get out of my way

One of the hottest goalies in the NHL since mid-Feburary, Kaapo Kahkonen is back in black the net in search of his eighth-straight win as the Minnesota Wild look to sweep a two-game series against the Vegas Golden Knights in front of a national TV audience.

No changes in the lineup for the Wild for the still-light-out 6 p.m. start, meaning the newly rejuvinated Zach Parise-Victor Rask-Kevin Fiala line remains intact.

The Golden Knights, on the other hand, could have two big names back in the lineup as Mark Stone and Brayden McNabb will be game-time decisions for tonight’s game. Stone Monday’s tilt against the Wild, while McNabb has been on LTIR with a lower-body injury suffered in late January.

The Athletic’s Vegas beat writer Jesse Granger tweeted Alex Pietrangelo has left the team and flew back to Las Vegas for further evaulation of his injured hand. Granger also reported that third-pairing defenseman Dylan Coghlan was moved back down to the Golden Knights’ taxi squad. Taken together, that almost assuredly means McNabb will rejoin the lineup tonight.

Vegas head coach Peter DeBoer confirmed that Vegas will once again start Marc-Andre Fleury, much to the chagrin of Wild players and fans.

Ready for puck drop as the Wild look to sweep the Knights? Let’s get fired up as the sun’s going down, Wilderness!
