Minnesota Wild vs Montreal Canadiens
Location: Xcel Energy Center
Puck Drop: 4 p.m. CT
TV: ESPN+, Fox Sports North, Fox Sports WI, TSN-2
Radio: KFAN FM 100.3
The Wild return home this afternoon for a brief two-game homestand. Minnesota is one of only two teams in the league to still only have one win to their name (the other being the Ottawa Senators). Being in last place in the division and the league does not bode well for the Wild down the stretch, so it’s critical that they begin racking up points — and soon. Tonight, they’ll look to avenge Thursday’s 4-0 loss to the Canadiens and hopefully jump Ottawa in the league standings afterward.
It’s not an easy climb from here, but a win over Montreal is the start to that scramble up the steep rock face of the standings. The Wild have shown flashes of brilliance in their previous seven games. Hopefully, tonight, that brilliance shines once again and stays through the entirety of the 60 minutes played.
