Each week, when we remember, we look at the players who used to play for the Wild. We include players who left in free agency or trade over the summer, and the guys who have departed during the season at hand.
Continuing our super fun, non-offensive, avoid all conflict so as not to make other sites feel they need to target us, we go super in depth on each of the players. Join us after the jump.
Or don't. Whichever is least offensive.
Brent Burns
Brent Burns is a defenseman. He was traded to the Sharks at the 2011 NHL draft. He played some games this week in which his team paid him to participate.
Martin Havlat
Havlat is injured, so he isn't playing.
Cam Barker
Andrew Brunette
The other former wing for Koivu, Bruneete now plays for the Chicago Blackhawks. He, too, is paid for this participation.
Chuck Kobasew
Kobasew was not offered a contract this summer. He now plays in Denver.
Word is, Sheppard is on a conditioning assignment to the Sharks AHL affiliate.
Eric Nystrom
A former grinder for the Wild, Nystrom was traded to the Dallas Stars. There was a hit this week some considered controversial, but that debate might be offensive, so we'll just move on.
Jose Theodore
He's a goalie. He played here before, he doesn't anymore.
John Madden
Madden recently signed with the Panthers. He has played 16 games for that NHL franchise this season.
Colton Gillies
Gillies was claimed on waivers by the Blue Jackets. He plays in Columbus now.
Nick Schultz
Schultz was traded to the Oilers on Monday.
Marek Zidlicky
Zidlicky was traded last week for three players and draft picks. He now plays in New Jersey.
Greg Zanon
The final trade made on Monday. Zanon is now an employee of the Boston Bruins.
What it All Means
