In our first edition of Flashback Friday, we’re taking a look back at some of the Minnesota Wild’s top moments from the 2010s.
Chicago @ Minnesota 1/9/10
Only nine days after the start of the decade, the Wild found themselves up against division rival Chicago in a Saturday evening matchup. After being down 5-1 near the beginning of the third period, the rest was history.
Minnesota @ Pittsburgh 1/8/11
Another early January highlight. Beating the Penguins is never easy, especially on the road. But the Wild put together a fantastic shutout effort against Sidney Crosby’s Pens in PPG Paints Arena (or, at the time, Consol Energy Center).
Minnesota @ Colorado 4/30/14
Easily one of the most memorable games in Minnesota Wild history. On the grandest of stages, Nino Niederreiter delivered in clutch time.
St. Louis @ Minnesota 4/26/15
Neither team had won two games in a row in this series. However, some familiar faces for the Wild had a little something to say about that!
Chicago @ Minnesota 2/21/16
In front of a huge crowd at TCF Bank Stadium, the Wild took the Blackhawks to school in the Stadium Series. Perhaps the Wild will do the same in the 2021 NHL Winter Classic?
Colorado @ Minnesota 4/2/2017
In the midst of a four-game homestand to cap off a successful regular season, the Wild took down their division rival Colorado in a 5-2 barn-burner. What a night it was for Devan Dubnyk.
These are just a few of the most memorable moments from the 2010s. Here’s to even more epic moments in the 2020s!
