The Minnesota Wild are in need of players with offensive prowess and imagination. There are many options out there to help the Wild get more offensive. Over the course of the next few weeks, I will explore a few of these options that are available to the Minnesota Wild.
Also, being huge fan of college hockey, I want to see more former college hockey players playing in the State of Hockey. Obviously, I have a list of players that I would like to see the Wild add to the roster.
Last week on the Hockey Wilderness, I talked about the possibility of the NHL's salary cap moving to $80 million dollars, over the next four years. If the salary cap expands, this is going to open the wallets of NHL hockey teams even more. This will allow teams to add additional expensive cogs to their team's rosters.
So, anything could be possible. Again, with the salary cap possibly moving to $80 million dollars, there could be a lot of money being thrown around. Winners have to dream big. Why shouldn't the Wild be in the mix for some of these high-end players? As I mentioned last week, with an expanded salary cap, that will give the Wild a little more latitude to shoot for some extra help.
