  • Fans Wait for Tickets in Freezing Weather

    Guest

When I woke up Saturday morning and I saw the frost on my car window, I knew it was cold, but after all this is Minnesota and I am used to frost on the windows, but usually not this early. I just kept thinking of all the die hard Wild fans that had camped out overnight to buy Minnesota Wild single game tickets. Brrrrrrrrrr! That’s true Minnesota Hockey craziness.  Wild.com reported there were 500 fans lined up in 34 degree weather outside of the Xcel – the first fan in line had been camped out since Wednesday when it was a balmy 41 degrees! Crazy!

Single game tickets went on sale at 9:00 am and by 9:10 am three games were sold out. The top games on Minnesota hockey radar ? The home opener on October 4th (of course that is one of the best nights of the year!), the October 30th game vs. the Pittsburgh Penguins and the January 18th game vs. the Anaheim Mighty Ducks.  Well, of course all of us Wild freaks want to see the Wild clobber the Ducks on our home ice –revenge will be sweet, I guarantee it.

I have to admit I love Minnesota Wild hockey, but I prefer to pay a little bit more money and just buy the tickets from local ticket brokers. That way I can wait until the last minute to decide which games I want to attend and I don’t have to stand outside and freeze my you know what off.
