"For me, the 'C' carries a ton of responsibility," Richards said. "Not only does it give you the ability to talk to the referees, but you're basically in charge of the team. I'll be driving the bus early on in practices and games, but in the end, what it comes down to is the guys. The guy who has to be the leader then has to be the guy wearing the 'C.'"
