Once again, Jacques Lemaire and the Minnesota Wild have changed captains as part of their rotating captaincy program. This time the sun set on Mikko Koivu's return as captain and the sun has risen on Andrew Brunette's reign. Mikko Koivu and Owen Nolan will wear the A.
Under Koivu's captaincy, the Wild have gone 21-12-2. Under Kim Johnsson, the Wild went 4-9-1. The fans were clamoring for Koivu to be named the permanent captain. The feeling is that this is Koivu's team, and the results would tend to agree.
Let's hope February isn't like December all over again.
