The regular season isn't just one game, but during a Monday matinee match against the Vancouver Canucks, the Minnesota Wild should find out if the effort to get into the playoffs is a worthwhile one.

The Canucks have consistently sat atop the Western Conference standings and have been one of the better performing teams throughout the first half of the campaign. So, if the threat of the Wild potentially having to face them in the first round if they sneak into the Wild Card spot and the Canucks are the Pacific Division leaders, this afternoon game should answer some questions like, if it's all worth it.

Rossi gets hurt and called for the penalty.  How very... Minnesotan.

AND, it's Rossi not NoJo which would have been much more acceptable IMO.

That's hockey. Gotta find a way. Canes got a couple greasy ones but so did MN. Close game. The PP or a couple important face offs could have been the difference.

MN has sucked in the face off circle ever since Koivu. It's been like 30-40% for MN all season, doesn't matter who the Wild play.

    NSH wins, MN loses.
