The Minnesota Wild are not looking very good, right now. Now an even 2-2-0 to start the season, the wins have not felt very good (except maybe the shutout win against the Panthers in the very first game) and the losses have felt terrible. Both losses come against teams that managed to score seven goals against this supposedly defensively elite team.

Now, the Wild host the miserable Columbus Blue Jackets. Their 2000 expansion partners are not supposed to be winning many games this season, but this team, through their multiple successful drafts and some free agency fortitude, have some power players.

Johnny Gaudreau is leading a group of forwards that could reach their potential at any time. And even their blue line ain't that bad with Zach Werenski, Damon Severson, Ivan Provorov, and young phenom David Jiricek.  This could be kind of go either way, even if Columbus is not supposed to be good.

    When: 7:00 p.m. CT

Not really sure what MN thought, they'd just blow the doors off CBJ?

PP zero again and same issues, can't win a draw, allowing 50+ shots, etc...

Kinda looks like that's what they thought...and that's rich given how they've played this year.

Good god. KK97 and Zuc seriously need to stop the pass-happy/pretty shit. You just lost to a pretty bad team on a B2B at home and deserve every bit of it.

Seriously. On that scramble they overpassed about 3x. Don’t know what KK97 was thinking taking it behind the net right into the body of the defender.

I do like Boone Jenner if the Wild are a playoff team and CBJ isn't at the deadline.

I don’t think they’d let him go. I think they really like him.

Unless I missed something new about the matter, Ottawa has had issues signing Shane Pinto. He’s been out of the lineup so far this year

he scored 20 goals his rookie year last year and he’s 6’2-6’3

I would love it if we could somehow acquire him from Ottawa.

they have Stutzla, Norris and Greig down the middle so they should be set in that area.

That team, in my opinion, is going to be a Cup contender in a few years, same as Buffalo.

They have big and extremely talented Defenseman as well. I wish the Wild would use their model of building/drafting a team.

I hope he’s on the Wilds radar.
