Jesper Wallstedt is here and is making his long-awaited NHL debut in Dallas against a Stars team that is looking to build upon a 4-0 smacking of the Minnesota Wild on Monday.

Should we really put all our hope into a 21-year-old netminder, or should we just play it cool and hope for the best? It's hard to not get super excited for the future of the Minnesota crease.

Listening to the Dallas feed, the Wild have gone 6+ periods across three games without a goal so far....

Who ya got in the draft lottery?

Well, Chicago will be in the "lottery" again, so I do not like the Wilds chances.

Another nugget from the Stars feed...

13 of the Stars' last 19 games have been decided by a goal. Call tonight #20, and three of the seven non-close Stars games will have been blowouts of the Wild unless something changes.

Nothing has changed about our locker room culture. We let are superstar get cross checked every game by division rivals. We hang are stud goalie prospect out to dry. Just skating for a paycheck. Nothing has changed . There is no excuse either. Dallas has injuries and playing good. We just make excuses and don’t show up.

New drinking game anytime Nojo passes backwards when the team is rushing, or Folino passes back to the point when he’s standing next to the net with the goalie laying on his stomach spread eagle

Wallstedt is actually the only reason the score isn’t even more lopsided to be honest.

Reviewing the goals against, they're not the worst. Just hard to watch the Wild be so predictable against certain teams. Always the snot-nosed little brother to somebody in the Central.

Marchment is a helluva player in my book. He was very good before Florida but not really appreciated. Then Dallas jumped to get a hard-battling big guy who can score. Guerin goes with Elite Swedes and placeholders. Despite grit video PR stunts.

Pavelski is another one who was too old when he signed. That was an incorrect assumption as he continues to be a productive center til age 40. MN meanwhile, is going with sum of parts not even as good as Dallas on paper. The Stars top 4-5 guys and #1 grit-guy are above the Wild's best no matter how you spin it with the exception of #97 who gets pounded nightly.

    Grit-goal coming at ya!

Still think Hartman's signing is fine. He and Zuccarello have pretty much done what we've expected.

What can you expect when the whole season has played out without 3-4 top players for one time or another.

Midds caught below the dots in the O-zone before Robertson scored.:classic_blush:

Fred fails to play the body at the blue line and Dallas Elite Swede given an easy shot from <50'. :classic_rolleyes:

Not gonna get the job done with that kind of detail in your game...
