After getting a beating handed to them by the Tampa Bay Lightning, the Minnesota Wild continue their road trip in sunny Florida, taking on the Panthers. Another, very good team.

The Wild just got the news that captain Jared Spurgeon is out for the season and that they are miles behind the race for a Wild Card spot. It seems incredibly unlikely that they will be able to reach the postseason, but they will certainly keep trying and tonight will be no different. At least this roster has some fun players to watch, unlike when they were almost all gone with injuries.

    When: 6:00 p.m. CT

Panthers are not playing well tonight, but I really like their physical game. Can I say that?! I've seen Maroon dumped, Boldy dropped, and that hip check on Dewey. Haven't seen him since - hope it's minor. Now NoJo is down - but that one was another penalty.

Looked like Wild went into their defensive game, and gave up 2 quick goals

If that is their defensive game, we have big problems. Turnovers galore.

Man, I should go to see the Wild play more often, 5 PP goals!! Also Duhaime KO'd Lockwood. It looked scary, I was actually worried for him.  All that being said, I think they got the benefit of some non calls late in the game, but they did play a tough game.  Mermis got trucked just before the third or fourth Panthers goal.
