The Minnesota Wild had to depend on overtime to earn one single point against the Washington Capitals on Friday, and now two days later get to have a home-and-home against one of the NHL's best, the New Jersey Devils.

While their 4-2-1 record doesn't scream one of the best teams, any team led by Jack Hughes and his explosion of offense (five goals and 18 points in just seven games), is a dangerous one. The Wild will have to depend on a whole lot of luck and top-tier play to keep New Jersey's offense relatively at bay.

Daemon Hunt gets another appearance and Jujhar Khaira is scratched once again, with the Wild going for 11 forwards and seven blueliners.

    When: 4:00 p.m. CT

I sat out the comments on this one. Taking the old advice about not having anything nice to say, not saying anything at all.

I held out as long as I could but I have to ask, is 1-6 on the PP any better than 0-5? Not by much I gotta say...

I wonder if anybody on thr MN coaching staff notices how the Devils are flying around on their PP, and MN has been doing the same nonchalant almost immobile PP for years.

Somehow it looks worse this season. Thought that new powerplay specialist coach was going to turn them around. They looked great the first game and then back to the same ol same ol.

It's painful to watch. It makes me wish they could decline the penalty and keep playing 5 on 5. They actually move around and create offense. It's very frustrating to watch.
