The Minnesota Wild have an incredible opportunity. After everyone predicted the Dallas Stars to walk away with this first-round series as the winner, but if the Wild win tonight it means heading back home up 2-0 on the favorites.

Game 1 was a doozy and a game that went on for way too long, but the result was fine. If we are asking the team of anything, it is to make this a win and less than 90 full minutes of hockey.

It is the playoffs, so we never have a clue who is actually playing until warm-ups happen just 30 minutes before puck drop. But, we did get the information that Oskar Sundqvist has healed from his injury and will be in the lineup for Game 2. As well, John Klingberg remains out, so the blue line will most likely stay the same as it was on Monday.

    Projected Wild lineup

Kirill Kaprizov -- Ryan Hartman -- Mats Zuccarello
Marcus Johansson -- Frederick Gaudreau -- Matt Boldy
Gustav Nyquist -- Sam Steel -- Marcus Foligno (Sundqvist?)
Brandon Duhaime -- Connor Dewar -- Ryan Reaves

    Jake Middleton -- Jared Spurgeon
    Jonas Brodin -- Matt Dumba
    Jon Merrill -- Brock Faber

Filip Gustavsson played 90 minutes of hockey on Monday but head coach Dean Evason said picking Game 2's starter wasn't going to be influenced by that. But, Marc-Andre Fleury has been rumored to be getting the start tonight, so we'll have to see.

    Projected Stars lineup

Jason Robertson -- Roope Hintz -- Tyler Seguin
Jamie Benn -- Wyatt Johnston -- Evgenii Dadonov
Mason Marchment -- Max Domi -- Ty Dellandrea
Joel Kiviranta -- Radek Faksa -- Luke Glendening

    Ryan Suter -- Miro Heiskanen
    Esa Lindell -- Jani Hakanpaa
    Thomas Harley -- Colin Miller

    Jake Oettinger
    Scott Wedgewood

Game over.  What a crap way to start that game and give Dallas all sorts of momentum.  Going to run us out of the building tonight and come into St. Paul feeling great.

Not a fan of the coaching decision.  We’re 10 minute in and the crowd is already chanting at our backup goalie and we’re icing our hot goalie.

Big hole to climb out of now

For a second it looked like they were going to kill it.

Also great play by Merrill, even if he did take a penalty on it.

Also these adds in the rinks are getting ridiculous.

Glidden - Official paint of the NHL? Does the NHL need an official paint?

I'd say they need to paint the adds on the boards...but those are digital and annoyingly scrolling now. So no, they don't need paint.

    Great idea starting Fleury

Not sure it would matter. Those shots Fleury let in were tougher saves than the 2 that went by Gus last game, and the Stars were likely to win this one before the puck dropped.

Robertson has a hell of shot, but under any pressure he crumples. Glad we got Kap instead.

For anyone that read that "comparison" article on the Athletic it was laughable. Like you said, he's got a good shot and he's smart, but skating/skillset. lol. His skating is average at best. He's got better line-mates.

Maybe Evanson should pair Brodin with Faber, Dumba with Merrill?

I kind of thought the same last game. Pairing Faber with Merrill is a lot of pressure. For Faber...because Merrill is by and large terrible and he shouldn't have to deal with that.

He's also a big dude and Spurgeon and Zuccarello have been manhandling him this series. Also MUCH better linemates.

Gus was stopping tougher ones as the game went on. He had what, at least 30 straight saves to end the game?

I guess he was too tired to play though, but Oettinger wasn't.

I do think the Stars have a much better chance to win, even before the game started. But Fleury could have played the breakaway much better.

He had no chance on the tip.

That's fair-the shots have been a bit difficult. I was expecting a Stars win regardless too. We won the first one because Gus basically stole it. So the decision is to bench our best player for the next one? Makes no sense.
