The Minnesota Wild have an incredible opportunity. After everyone predicted the Dallas Stars to walk away with this first-round series as the winner, but if the Wild win tonight it means heading back home up 2-0 on the favorites.

Game 1 was a doozy and a game that went on for way too long, but the result was fine. If we are asking the team of anything, it is to make this a win and less than 90 full minutes of hockey.

It is the playoffs, so we never have a clue who is actually playing until warm-ups happen just 30 minutes before puck drop. But, we did get the information that Oskar Sundqvist has healed from his injury and will be in the lineup for Game 2. As well, John Klingberg remains out, so the blue line will most likely stay the same as it was on Monday.

    Projected Wild lineup

Kirill Kaprizov -- Ryan Hartman -- Mats Zuccarello
Marcus Johansson -- Frederick Gaudreau -- Matt Boldy
Gustav Nyquist -- Sam Steel -- Marcus Foligno (Sundqvist?)
Brandon Duhaime -- Connor Dewar -- Ryan Reaves

    Jake Middleton -- Jared Spurgeon
    Jonas Brodin -- Matt Dumba
    Jon Merrill -- Brock Faber

Filip Gustavsson played 90 minutes of hockey on Monday but head coach Dean Evason said picking Game 2's starter wasn't going to be influenced by that. But, Marc-Andre Fleury has been rumored to be getting the start tonight, so we'll have to see.

    Projected Stars lineup

Jason Robertson -- Roope Hintz -- Tyler Seguin
Jamie Benn -- Wyatt Johnston -- Evgenii Dadonov
Mason Marchment -- Max Domi -- Ty Dellandrea
Joel Kiviranta -- Radek Faksa -- Luke Glendening

    Ryan Suter -- Miro Heiskanen
    Esa Lindell -- Jani Hakanpaa
    Thomas Harley -- Colin Miller

    Jake Oettinger
    Scott Wedgewood

Line 3 was the only group really playing well in my opinion. I thought out defensemen did a pretty good job clearing out Fleury's bad rebounds and what not, and I don't think they really played fault in many of the goals, but the other three lines all looked terrible at defensive coverage.......and MAF was atrocious.

L3 definitely played well, just surprised to see they came out the way they did. Agree the defense played well overall.

Dean-O sticking to his guns on the goalie...lol. So what, you going with MAF in game 4? If you do depending upon what happens in game 3 there's going to be A LOT of backlash.

He always does. Hates pulling a guy. Did the same thing with Talbot and Kaapo too.

It's okay though, we got out of there with a road W, just need to take care of business at home... and yeah let's not make another goalie switch until we have to.

Disagree wholeheartedly. Dumba has been playing his best hockey since his pec injury. He's focused on defense since his benching and has made little to no mistakes and has been extremely solid (still not $6mil solid) for the past few months. As soon as he quit focusing on contributing on offense, everything got better for him. This has thoroughly been outlined by the beat writers.

I don't disagree with this at all. Overall, he's been far more balanced and much more worried about defensive responsibilities.  But, I don't think a light bulb clicked on for him. Early in the year, he wasn't playing this well, but it was pretty obvious something wasn't the same.  So, he had to do what he could do, focus on the other side.

So, my comment is that something is off from his normal game. He has, however, reinvented himself to make himself useful.

This is bull shit. I have been posting on this site for years and now I have to await approval to post a “we suck again!!” comment?!

Yeah, Tony explained it to me, it was the change from Vox to Zone Coverage that screwed it all up. I think it took 3 posts for me to be "verified." Hang in there and thanks for keeping your handle!
