Imyourhuckleberry Verified Member
Ritchie maybe should have gone to Michigan or Boston College rather than Boston University. Boston U has good coaching and has had really good talent recently, but Cole Eiserman is one of their top players now and he's not really a distributor at all. He's more of shoot first and shoot second mentality. Have to wonder if Eiserman's significant role with a more selfish game is having a negative impact on other players, after a handful of players moved on to play pro hockey. Just speculating, but the team(9-8-1) doesn't seem to be playing like a NCAA tourney team to this point. Maybe they make a late run? Of course, this is Ryder Ritchie's first NCAA year and he could pick up the pace in the latter half of the season. His scoring pace(11 points in 20 games) is lacking a tad, but not truly concerning for his first college season. For his team, he is 5th in assists(7) and tied for 5th in goals(4) scored. Hopefully the experience at Boston U helps him become a stronger hockey player.
