Imyourhuckleberry Verified Member
Czechia's skill was phenomenal against Canada. I thought it might have been a fluke last time when a Czech team beat Canada on home ice in that tournament, but seeing them in person in a neutral rink, I can tell you that Czechia seemed to be at the same level for skill, playing connected team hockey, and their goalie was absolutely outstanding. Canada has more size, and future NHL stars, but Czechia is well coached and brings a bunch of speed and skill. Liked to see that their coach wasn't afraid to use Benak in crucial situations and he came through by helping them get to the championship game. Thomas Verified Member
At a hockey game, I think you can wear whatever NHL jersey jersey you want as long as it has some relevance to the game you're at. In 2003 I traveled from Norway to Columbus and wore a Norwegian national #41 Espen Knutsen* jersey to every game. Went to the Ohio state playoffs that were held in Nationwide arena and had tickets to a meet/ autograph session. Through friends I had made online, I got a 2h private tour of the arena by a woman from CBJ management, and while Knutsen wasn't supposed to attend the meet/ autograph session, she or someone else at the club asked if he was willing to come and replaced one of the other three that were supposed to be there, which he did, and signed my jersey as well as the unique CBJ/ high school puck everyone in attendance got. There was a strict one autograph per, but he just waved the security away when I asked him to sign the puck as well. The jersey landed me in an interview on Fox Sports during a game 😂 *He wore 41 on the national team because 21 was taken. 41 has later been worn by Patrick Thoresen.
