The Wild shouldn't hang their heads.  They played a respectable game on a B2B.  Forget it and move on.  Remember the defensive structure and cash in on oppurtunities.  Move the feet.  They need to get used to winning.  Another win streak would be fantastic for them and their psychy.

Since Nov 1, Wild are 19-4-2 and Avs are 19-1-3.  I'd say dancing toe-to-toe with the NHL leader over a nearly 2 month stretch is not a bad streak at all.  Still 1 chess piece away from breaking thru 2nd round of the Central div however.

Agreed.  We are close.  We need 1 more 200 foot player that can also be a sniper.

The Wild have a terrible habit of not beating the teams that they should. Like the week where they beat COL and EDM, but they lost to BUF, CGY, and VAN. So the game against NSH looks like a trap game to me.

The Wild are one puzzle piece away from being a meaningful contender and one injury away from being a train wreck. The Wild were terrible when Zuccarello was out injured, but great since his return.

The goal for the rest of the regular season must be to keep Zuccarello healthy and productive, while adding a Brady or Matthew Tkachuk style player. Getting one of the Tkachuk brothers via trade would be ideal, but otherwise someone who has that same style of play. 

Just think of how dynamic a Yurov / Kaprizov / Tkachuk line would be.

I thought this was interesting: When did the Wild reach 50 points last season? Game 38 December 31st against Nashville.

Why would this be significant? Because we show the slow start all the time, but we don't realize how close we are to last season's start. We are very close. 23-11-4 was the record. 

I would consider this year's version a better team right now.

Every team can be significantly worse if particular players get injured.  The Wild also had a lot of injured players around that time and were still winning.  Getting Zuccarello back helped of course, but he wasn't the only reason for the team's turnaround.
