Wild vs Avs

Not sure what’s harder to take: Faber staring at McKinnon and/or Landeskog as they skate by, like an 8- year old waiting for an autograph or Carter droning on and on about how good the Avs are. Who’s this guy doing color for!?! He’s a disaster.

So fun having the Wild be legit with the addition of Hughes. However, tonight was a rude reminder that the Wild cannot play with Colorado and they will get them in the first or second round of the playoffs.  There is a huge gap in talent and professionalism between Minnesota and Colorado and in no universe does the Wild win 4 of 7 games against them.  So enjoy the regular season and realize that no matter how well they do, this is all we get.

We get another crack at them end of Feb. 1-1 so far. Too early to doom and gloom, we have a really good team.

Also, you never know who will be healthy come playoff time.

Is anyone arguing Quinn Hughes is better than Cale Makar tonight?

One of Makar's points was a "not very special" 2nd assist, but the other 2 were an excellent first assist by Makar, and a fantastic shot from up top.

I know the Wild didn't have their best game. The Wild don't have games the day before for either of the next 2 games against the Avalanche, so we'll see if they can match up better with more rest in those.

Wild are still 2nd in points percentage since November 1st(With Colorado, Minnesota, and Dallas all far ahead of the 4th place Hurricanes), and should have a lot of good hockey ahead.
