SkolWild73 Verified Member
Decided to look at how the Wild have ranked in certain areas since the 6-2 loss to Utah (Last 14 games). Points/game played: 4th at 1.50. Trailing Colorado (1.85), Tampa (1.57) and Dallas (1.53). Goal differential: tied for third with Tampa at +14. Trailing Colorado (+30) and Dallas (+18) Goals for/game played: 12th with 3.21. Colorado number 1 with 4.46 Goals against/game played: 2nd with 2.21, trailing, you guessed it, Colorado (2.15) Power Play: 10th at 21.7%. Penalty Kill: 13th at 81.8% Save%: 2nd at 92.46% Hits: Tied for 4th with 311 Improvement in lots of areas, especially the penalty kill which has actually been even better in November at 89.7% (6th). Also, what has been impressive is some of their recent wins have been over teams toward the top of point percentage for the year, Carolina, 3rd, Anaheim, 4th, and Vegas 8th (we are currently tied for 9th). Hopefully we keep it up tonight with a win over Chicago and keep the pressure on Dallas for second in the division.
Dango Verified Member
One of the litmus tests im observing this season is if we can avoid that stretch that we seem to do every year where we have that certain schedule of games that sends us down spiraling towards the bottom , but so far from what i see i think we have the personal to keep it a short one if at all happens , memories of Mike Yeo slamming his stick against the glass during practice
