mnfaninnc Verified Member
My hope is that if he makes the team which is likely, they will give him 3rd pairing minutes. Olympics are for fun, you can win a medal, but what I care about is the last 1/3rd of our season, and Faber having gas in the tank! Let somebody else's defender play all those minutes and then our forwards can zip around them when they run out of gas!

It was injury that got them there, but those 2 playing together with good results makes future positive results feel a little more tangible. Brodin with Spurgeon works too. Hunt with Jiricek might be fine for 3rd pairing. Middleton is out again tonight. Gus in goal tonight vs. San Jose. I'm guessing Wall goes next game against the Ducks, with Gus taking the 2nd weekend game against Vegas.
