0 Stanley Cups Verified Member
November schedule: 14 games, 9 Home 5 Away. SC Contenders: CAR x2, WIN, VGK, COL. Lesser teams: VAN, NAS, NYI, CGY, SJS, ANA, PIT, CHI, BUF. Tomorrow, Vancouver is hurting with injuries, then Nashville, if we can't win those two games in a row then we're really in trouble. 5

Thanks for the heads up. Some names mentioned are: Zacha, Middlestedt and Kadri with Rossi+ going the other way. Prepare to be unhappy with bill's overpay if he can find any takers. 3

What a horrible return for one of the few pieces that's actually working out. 4
Citizen Strife Verified Member
Yes. Let's ditch at 24-year old for a 35-year old on a worse team with "presumably" worse stats.
Citizen Strife Verified Member
Edit: yes, Rossi does in fact have the same or more points than Kadri Middlestadt, and Zacha. Had more points last year than those latter two's season highs. Guerin does any trade like that, I'd go full Dean mode until he's fired... Isn't it Pewter who goes #dontbedumbbill?
Dean Verified Member
I want Billy to do something to shake the core. Like Russo suggested a hockey trade of a veteran. Send a shot to locker room. Or make a big deal for a young stud. . I don’t want to see him piss away that 1st round pick next year . With no free agents next offseason and nothing significant in the cupboards he can’t waste this years 1st round pick unless it’s Tage Thompson . Which ain’t happening. Kadri is going to be getting a first if not a lot more . Not worth price. Zacha and middles just ain’t worth trading for. . If Billy would have done his job in offseason this could be a good / exciting start to the season. Instead of now wondering what stupid thing he’s going to do next to set us back. Make a smart hockey trade bill. Please!

Really Rossi is better then Zacha, Middlestedt and Kadri is 11 years older .So a pretty senseless trade

Rohn Verified Member
Bill Guerin should not be allowed to shop for talent for the same reason he'd need adult supervision on a used car lot. He's already stocked the Wild's bench with ragged out muscle cars, based on what? .... maybe he watched YouTubes of how great they ran a decade ago? Old muscle cars look okay if you don't spot the Bondo under the paint, and don't put your hands on the frame joints, all loose and rotted from rust and hard miles on dirt tracks. Don't get me started on the old wiring harnesses, chewed by mice and blowing fuses like popcorn. This ain't Jay Leno's Garage, Bill Guerin. We want a team ... not a museum.

The team needs help. They are willing to trade to get help. But the want to get rid of one of their top six to get an older and potentially problem player. Got it. 2
Dango Verified Member
Im thinking just keep at it because i dont think any 1 player is going to do much . But i think they will eventually find it with the group they have
Sam Verified Member
I really enjoyed the Pokémon comparison. And I was going to add that it is X2 weak to ice but you’re already aware of that per your footnotes.

MacGyver Verified Member
Most weird article I have ever read! But I'm old and know absolutely zero about Pokemon so there's that. Billy is now in a situation of wanting/needing to make a trade just to do something. He' has to put the heart defibrillator on this team after only a dozen games. Rossi is finally going to be the fall guy Billy has been setting him up to be. And like Pewter says be prepared to be underwhelmed with what Billy comes away with. He is not trading from a position of strength but from a position of desperation and weakness. That is never good and should always be avoided. Maybe Billy will step back from the cliff but if there are a couple more losses he's going to jump. My guess is this. Unless the Rangers pull out of their nose dive Theofanus who is Panarin's agent and also Kirill's agent is going to fleece the Wild again and hang them with a big contract for an aging Panarin. This of course will make Billy's emotional support pet Kirill happy as it has been reported the two are close friends and would like to play together. So he could be your one big fish if you can still call him that that may actually want to come here. That makes him a unicorn among most other vets who have any gas left in the tank and can choose where they are going to go. Just being willing to come here makes it almost a done deal.

Citizen Strife Verified Member
The question I have about Panarin is how much worse is he than Tarasenko...cause that is a VERY low bar. To think, it used to be the Mojo bar until he went contract year Mojo on us.

Right in Billy's wheelhouse!

I projected that we'd need to move before the trade deadline on this, but it sounds like Guerin is desperate.

It didn't have return price at all, but mentioned Rossi being a pleasant surprise and not necessarily needing to find a center.
