I stand by my original plan. Kick Hynes to the front office and hire DeBoer to coach the team. The only thing we have here is that Dallas may still own DeBoer's rights, so he might not be as available as we think. 

We need some new eyes in here, and DeBoer has a habit of developing the kids. I suspect he is very direct with them on what he wants, and demands it. I don't think he'd put up with slow start after slow start.

Firing HCJH may be very awkward for GMBG in the near future as Silly G. is also the GM of the upcoming Olympic team and Hynes is one of the assistant coaches of said team. How would he spin that move ahead of the Olympics?

OCL could fix the whole problem (for the Wild... not the Olympians) by generously continuing to retaining both Guerin and Hynes and 'loaning' them out full-time to the national team to focus on bringing home the gold and hiring 'interim' replacements. After the Olympics are finished... dump them both!

I came back today to say that , sure, pull the plug and hire a new coach, although the problem is more than just the coach.

There have been times the last three years where I could see a completely stale roster and was saying we should just pack it in and play young guys and get draft position.  I feel like everyone else was saying how stupid that was and if we just added some scrap at the deadline, we were competing for a cup.

Well, I am suggesting it now, about 10 games into the season.  The team is trash, we have a bunch of young players that might not be prime time but let the kids play and get some experience.  Get a high pick, and find someone with a brain to make that pick.   I don't want another d-man or a guy who can score in juniors but we decide is too small a year after we pick them.

Hiring No way on DeBore.  He creates way too much dissention.   I don't like Hynes at all but no to DeBoer.  We've had Boudreau, Eason, and now Hynes coaching essentially the same Wild team over the past few years.  It's time to start giving some serious thought to dumping some players.

Hiring DeBore would be the worst possible move.  He has alienated players, fans, and owners wherever hes been.  Hynes needs to go but not in favor of DeBore.  This could be Guerins 3rd coaching change with basically the same results.
