We're almost 1/10th the way through the season, but 2 points is the difference between a playoff spot and dead last in the division right now. This is where I need to be.’ Maybe it’s not as natural right now, but eventually it will be. “But there’s a lot of non-negotiable things as a defenseman in the NHL where your team needs you to be in this position right now. You have to be there. So if it’s not natural for you, we’ve got to get it natural for you. But I can see him consciously making these decisions where before he wouldn’t, so that’s part of coaching, it’s part of developing, and it’s really good to see from him. And he’s in a really good place mentally right now.
