Teams aren't letting elite players or even second liners walk anymore. That or do you want to spend $8-9m only Ehlers or Boeser?  That is the frustration.  Will Guerin punt a year to see how they do?

I'm guessing Guerin will make a move this year if there's a reasonable deal to be made and the Wild are in the playoff hunt. They started worse a few years ago and still exceeded 100 points. 4 games in is far too soon for panic time, but they certainly miss Zuccarello's playmaking abilities right now.

Let's say that Hynes does elevate Hartman, then who centers the 3rd line? With Sturm out, Hartman has to play center. Haight is already in Iowa, and I'd rather not have to play Jones. Bankier would have been the better callup, since he plays center too.

Yurov.

At this point, I just want to let yurov get his feet wet. Let him adjust to the speed and systems and build confidence. No need to throw him into the deep end and tell him to swim.

From what I've watched, he's played well enough to get an uptick in TOI. That would mean elevating to the 3rd line.

I agree this would be a natural progression for him. But who centers the 4th line? Honestly, I have no understanding of why Ben Jones was called up. He adds little to the roster. I'd be in favor of Bankier centering the 4th line as a trial.

I think BJ is here in a break glass scenario only.  Bankier showed less than Haight and yurov.  Equal to Heidt.
I’ll suggest you put bankier in the same bucket as Peart and Beckman.

Thank you Tony. I feel like a broken record but they love sticking with the same old. This core hasn't been good enough together out of the 1st round and even missed the playoffs.

Some of these kids have not locked it down but none of the vets are either. And with the version it's largely the same team from last year that couldn't move the needle.

I think this shows are coaching/development along with scouting and decision making are serious concerns. I don't think it's a scapegoat when the man in charge is part of all the problems the team has.
