Scalptrash Verified Member
Older=more injuries, longer recovery. Seven to eight weeks is probably wishful thinking. Sounds like a groin, so he'll be battling that all season now, if it is. Makes me wonder what his off season workout regime is. Is he still hitting as hard as he did five, ten years ago? According to Russo on KFAN this morning, he already had surgery so as not to continue to deal with it for the entire season. Sounds like he pushed himself too hard too soon, so yeah probably sports hernia/groin, but they didn't want the same result as Kaprizov last season. NoJoSux Verified Member
It's gonna require the Wild to generate more offense. It will also allow some young players to get good opportunities early to prove themselves. Zuccy can bury grade A chances. Elite Swedes, gangly, one-timin Czech defensemen, or Russian phenoms with mostly KHL goals have to make us believe.
Pablo Verified Member
The team better be prepared with a mass of depth and the youngsters better be prepared to plan a ton of minutes. They also need to score and win face offs!! Its time to be men. Men win.

Zuccarello became the 2nd Norwegian to block a slap shot resulting in a cracked nut (Thoresen, Oilers). I've taken a few slapshots to the cup in my time on the ice as a defender, but splitting a nut isn't very common afaik.
