It would be sweet if McDavid takes a team-friendly deal and diminishes Kirill's number and Kaprizov stays in MN with a team that looks really good around Thanksgiving/Christmas. 

This game alone is diminishing Kaps value.  Dallas has almost all starters in abd we are outplaying them.  No player should be more than 10% of the cap.  Oliver Moore abd a player and a 1st I would do.  Also Svechnikov or Jarvis and picks from Carolina or Point from Tampa or Mctavish and Terry and picks from Anaheim.  We don’t need Kap.  We need more depth!!!

Kappy does make the players he's with better. He's not a center though so it could be okay if he left but not for picks and prospects IMO. He's too valuable and productive. I would wanna see MN get a legit younger centerman in return.

Peterson playing well. Beaten clean by Raanntennen, but not the worst considering he's a top tier scorer. Gotta like to see him and Wally both looking like a solid backup tendy.

They can get 1 top 6 player for him and a top prospect and top pick for him and have $8mm left over to get another top 6 fwd at deadline. 
 

Been very very impressed with Kumpalienan the last 2 periods. He and Lambos have been our best players.  Not impressed with heidt last 2 periods.

Well that was a disappointing loss but damn, kids held their own.

So. In the ot the wild started Yurov, ogre and jiricek.  Lost the draw, but got the puck back.  Ogre had to play keep away for 10 plus seconds vs. duscher but led to a breakout that led to Yurov settling things down for a change.  

Dallas got it back but turned it over in the wilds end that led to a breakaway for abe-kubel that was saved that led to a Dallas two on one which they buried it for the ot winner.  Hinnestroza was gassed but tried to back check to make it an even 2 on 2.

Hinnestroza had the breakaway in OT abd then tried to get back and Heidt lost his guy in Seguin leading to the Dallas goal.  Heidt will be sent down soon. Kumpalienan and Lambos need to stick around longer. Kumpalienan will be a beat center with 20 more lbs added. Absolutely do not trade him.  He will be a 2 or 3 center in a year or 2.  Heidt is to small for NHL abd doesn’t have the speed.

Watched some of the kings/knights game.  If Kap wants to go to the Kings the Wild should ask for Byfield and Henry Brzustewiz and a 1st or a player they need to offload to make cap hit work..  Brzustewiz is going to be a stud.

Petersen played out of his mind.  The game shouldn't have been as close as it was.

Hinostroza played well, despite the OT problems.  Probably the most noticeable forward along with Trenin.  Should show you why "NHL Quality" is such a jump in class.  Even 3rd/4th line NHL guys are miles ahead of AAAA or AHL level.

Jiricek should silence some doubts with performances like this.  He got the offense going, and pinched in when he could.  I think his skating issues are mitigated by the choices of the angles and reach he has.  He'll do fine if there is a faster or more experienced partner.  He's a PP2 option for sure. He'll be fine on 3rd pair.

Yurov and Ohgren seem ready, but in less offensive roles.  Yurov got some good spots, like rocking a Dallas player trying to setup a shot from the slot, but their games were what I'd classify as "efficient and solid.". Those two and Gleason are options for 4th line duty without injury issues to the top 6 like Zucc.

Heidt has not really improved since last year.  He might end up another Beckman/Walker scenario.  I'm curious to see if being in Iowa changes that or further exposes his weaknesses.

That said, I do hope people start realizing what I've been saying about Johansson, Trenin, Hinostroza, etc.  Games like this show the true difference in NHL talent.  The Stars played their starters and the Wild had to fight to stave them off.  They did "ok" but it was mostly the NHL lifers that were noticeable above that.  3rd/4th line guys that stick have a higher talent floor than it seems.

The Dallas announcers said it was abd, hinnestroza makes more sense as to why he was gassed trying to back check.
