He did not skate at the Kurvers Showcase. His younger brother Adam did though, for STL, and looked very good.
FredJohnson Verified Member
- Stevie Leskovar – Age: 21 – Shoots: L – 6-foot-3, 213 pounds - Riley Mercer – Age: 21 – Catches: L – 6-foot-2, 203 pounds These 2 are the only guys that can play in the NHL because experts have said many times that no one any good in the NHL is less than 200 lbs and/or less than 6 ft. Secord Sucks Verified Member
Unrelated to this post, but hugely good news… From Sarah McClellan of the Star Trib: Addressing his contract situation with the #mnwild, Kirill Kaprizov said his job is to focus on hockey and that they have a lot of time. Asked if he wants to stay, he said, "Yeah, you guys know I like Minny." As for what he wants in a new contract, he said he couldn't say now. Careful reading too much into that. Easiest non-answer possible.
mnhockeyfan03 Verified Member
Do not let Kap play a game until he is signed or traded. To much risk of him getting hurt. Do not budge off the 16mm. Already way too high. Trade Kap and Zuccy together. They can be buds on the rangers or hurricanes.

Most delicious trade conspiracy theory. Kap and his 38 year old security animal are a package deal. 1

But unless he signs off on the trade he can sit out the entire year. The Wild would have to paly him some and healthy scratch him a lot. I would consider not playing him if he actually has said he wants to wait until the official cap numbers come out for next year, so he can ask for 20.8 million. 1Brotherbill Verified Member
The prospect pool is deep but not filled with a lot of Elite talent. Once you get past Buium it isn't that spectacular. When people talk about a prospect defenseman as having to learn over time that usually means they are going to be a bottom pair defenseman or a depth start guy. Everyone of the Wild's defenseman prospects are labeled as needing time to learn except Buium. So in about four years the Wild will need two defenseman that are not bottom tier in the organization.

For what it's worth, I think Hallquisth could be a future middle pair guy. Not sure if he gets there in four years since he's only 18, but I think he's got a shot to have a good career. He wasn't there last weekend though, since he's playing in Europe this season.

They probably should have started at $14M. This agent is never taking the first offer...

Kap is about 10th and gets hurt a lot. Get his trade teams list and include zuccy as well. Hopefully the teams are Carolina, Rangers, Tampa, Anaheim (if he wants to catch some sun)
