I'm looking for news today about Kaprizov's contract. Strange, no dates released yet for training camp? Seems awful casual.

Nice to see a little guy kickin some butt. It would be great to have a Marchand type on the wild.

I liked what I saw from Benak, especially hustling on that takeaway that led directly to the assist for Kumpulainen.

He played really well on Friday too.

I was also liking what I was seeing from Amidovski.

Leskovar stood out, but he looks like he could use a few sandwiches and some time in the gym to broaden out a bit.

Buium stood out quite a bit, but I started watching expecting he would.

Players like Kumpulainen and Yurov looked all right, but I was hoping they would stand out a bit more.  I'm not underwhelmed.  They seem like sound players, but I'm hoping that what I was seeing was just the two of them getting a feel for the difference in rink size, spacing, and angles.

Should be interesting to see if both Benak and Amidovski can continue to develop and still be effective in higher leagues.  Looking good in the prospect showcase is great and all, but defensive structures/systems are a bit lacking when throwing a bunch of kids together like that.

They've piqued my interest a bit for the moment anyway.  Bankier got my attention last year and I'm still kind of high on him because of it.  Hoping he continues to improve too.
