I realize this is sarcasm, but I'll call out bill here (again). Assuming 97 has not already made up his mind to leave and negotiations are progressing in earnest bill guerin is not the person I want in the room with the agent (shark). bill is not mentally or emotionally equipped to land this plane. I hope 97 is jockeying for a 3 year $17M deal and we get 4 more years with him.

If Kaprizov gets away maybe Billy can move back home and be the Devil's equipment manager.

But if I'm an owner I judge BG by what he could and could not do.... not by whether or not Kirill wants a trade regardless of the offer. I would also consider firing BG if BG offered too much causing the team to be hamstrung again with a ludicrous contract. Considering Leipold said he had the contract in his pocket I'm guessing that him and BG made a mutual conclusion on the offer. So I doubt very much if BG is in any danger.
