Article: Zach Parise's U.S. Hockey Hall Of Fame Induction Will Be A Full-Circle Moment

Recommended Posts

I’m a big fan of Zach Parise. He’s a good example of a player that went to the net front to score in spite of the fact he took a lot of punishment. He always hustled and played the game engaged and focused. I know he’s involved with youth hockey and I hope that his life after playing for the NHL goes well.

Just thinking into the future, I wonder if Parise has any aspirations of moving into the Wild's front office. It would probably be awkward to do this with Shootah as the GM, though, I think less awkward with Parise than Suter.

He may not even have those types of aspirations. I think right now, it's getting to be at home with his family and he'll need a few years of that before thinking of stepping in somewhere.

What could Parise do? Well, if you had a coordinator for forwards within the organization, I would think he'd be a good candidate for that and very well respected among the young Wild players and prospects. Tag teaming with Koivu where Koivu was in charge of the defensive training for the forwards and Parise for the offensive training could work.

Considering BG’s final year of his own contract with the Stars was bought out it’s probably not that big of a deal. Especially since ZP retired before his 13 year deal was expired. I love the idea of ZP and the Wild moving forward together.

When is Suter's??

Asking for a friend.

After he retires, which will be after he’s done being annoying by playing for all the central teams.
