mnfaninnc Verified Member
With the recent NCAA changes, I was surprised to see Charlie Stramel not on the list. I would have thought that being from the area, he would have a place to stay and could have gotten home. Maybe he was already in school and didn't want to skip class? College players typically don't attend these tourneys. None of the other Wild prospects playing college hockey will be there; Stramel, Ritchie, Clark, Lorenz, Healey, Pionk, and Kipkie. Ditto for guys playing for Euro teams this year, like Kiviharji, Soini, Hallquisth etc. They are typically in training camp at this time. Would be awesome to see full prospect rosters square off. Haven’t heard much on him, but meanwhile he’s on a nat’l champ college team. Does he skate a consistent shift in Denver? When I watched Denver last year, he was playing bottom six but getting consistent minutes. That was an insanely deep team. I'm not sure if I've seen enough to say he can be middle six in the NHL. But Carle churns out quality pros in DU so when he joins the org, he'll probably be ready for pro hockey and be valuable in Iowa right away. Best case in my opinion is a bottom six guy like Duhaime. Not sure he impacts games like Duhaime did as his age, though. But, he's got time, still.
