MNCountryLife Verified Member
Sure wish we had a few more forwards that had a top line ceiling in the prospect list.
Burnt Toast Verified Member
We have “The Wall” incoming “The Hall”. 6’2” 175 and rising quickly. He’s one of the youngest players to qualify in this year’s draft.
mnfaninnc Verified Member
Could this guy eventually be a defensive partner to Buium? He'd be on the right side and essentially be a right handed Brodin type. Pass it over to your defensive partner and maybe pick up secondary assists? I know we generally think of Faber as Buium's partner, but maybe Faber gets put with a less aggressive lefty who also has some offensive upside? Just a thought. 1Brotherbill Verified Member
Top four potential. Does that mean he has to play on the top four. No it doesn't. Think about what the Wild has in the defensive core. Faber and Buium two players that will more than likely be in St. Paul for over a decade at a top 4 level. Then you have Jiricek and Lambos, two wild cards on how good they could be. Some people think that these two could be top four material for a decade as well. Time will tell on these two. Then you have Jake Middleton, some hate him others think he is solid. I tend to think he is a very serviceable defenseman that makes few mistakes and eats up a lot of time on the ice. Then we have the old grizzled veterans that are going to be around for a few years Brodin and Spurgeon, top four people on most teams. In Iowa you have Spacek, who according to his dad is one of the best defenseman in the history of the game. He might not be a top four defenseman but he could be a bottom six guy. Basically the Wild is stacked in the area of defenseman. They are not Norris Trophy winners yet but some could be. The days of relying on Jon Merrill to pick the puck out of the net after the other team scored might be gone.

The best thing I’ve heard all summer.
