As a player, he just gutted it out. But, I also don't think the players would have been vocal about it, that stuff stays in the locker room. But, there are people that felt like he glided through. Personally, I think on line 4, he knew he had to lay back a couple of strides because his other forwards were big but slow. Both goals he had were pretty sneaky as he glided in for the home plate shot. He's not the only player who glides and reads. But, I also don't stand down from the optics of abandoning your teammates and playing in Switzerland. That's the way to get a lot of negative talk against you. I don't disagree about the whole Switzerland thing. Rossi was to be an NHL player. I too thought the puck to the knee was an obvious game changer. His play fell off the planet when that happened and did not really recover through the playoffs. My point is how many folks are putting the quitter label on him without any evidence that he actually quit.

But, should he not sign and hold out and play in Switzerland as some here are recommending him to do as lazy boy agents, those who did have that opinion, will be certain he did. Bill is running the show with Kap's input. Otherwise Vlady would not be here. Connect the dots. Rossi is not in the plans and his performance during the end of the season and in the PO contributed to that and sealed his fate. I think Kaprizov cares a lot more about his own contract than Rossi's, lol.

WildNotMild Verified Member
McBain just signed a 4.25M x 5 years for a 27 point season. Is anyone still trying to argue that Rossi is worth 5M or less?
