Scalptrash Verified Member
Why didn't the Wild target Zegras? I would love to see him and Kaprizov on a line. Throw in Boldy for the Boston connection on the PP, damn.
SkolWild73 Verified Member
I am confused on the trade offer here, with the article mentioning so many names we could move. Is it suggesting we trade Rossi, Spurg, Chisolm, Spacek, and Freddy, for Terry, two depth pieces for Iowa and a 2nd round pick? Or was it just Rossi and Spurge for that and we could move the others? Either way, seems a lot to give up.
1Brotherbill Verified Member
Troy Terry for Marco Rossi that is all you should really consider. Rossi at 23 scores as much as Terry at 28. You would assume that Terry is developed and isn't going to get much better. His scoring could go up with different line mates but for the most part he is at his peak in development. Rossi it is assumed that he is going to get better in the next few years. Let's say ten to fifteen points better. That would put him at a level higher than Terry plus Marco is a legit center.

I admit I don't watch him outside of Wild games against the Ducks, but it seems easy to make him a complete non-factor in a game. Yes, he has some fancy highlights, but that seems like all he is - all style and no substance.
mnhockeyfan03 Verified Member
Why don’t we trade Rossi to Chicago for the number 3 pick and then trade that to Colorado and Ohgren and another pick for Necas. then trade Spurgeon to clear cap space and go get 3 more impact forwards. The lousy trade for Jiricek article from last Summer is like the only one that's come true and that's a blind squirrel/nut example.
