MNCountryLife Verified Member
Start by feeding these prospects. Get these prospects some weights between meals. The core should be first, followed by legs and then arms. Followed by the best stretching routine available today with as much ice time as possible. When they enter the N they should be Strong, Fast, Agile and Confident.... Not wide-eyed and pushed around. To accomplish that the IA Wild need facilities that can supply those tools as well as trainers capable of pushing the limits without blowing them up and putting them on IR.
FredJohnson Verified Member
Jiříček went from scoring 10 goals and 30 points in 44 games for the Cleveland Monsters in 2023-24 (including playoffs) to zero goals and seven assists in 27 games with Iowa. But but butt he weighs more than 200 lbs!
mnfaninnc Verified Member
At least Cronin's got NHL experience. I'm not quite sure where rock bottom is for Iowa, but it sure feels close.

Fezig Verified Member
A lot of Iowegians will be disappointed to find out Cronin wasn't the singer for REO Speedwagon.
IllicitFive Verified Member
I mean, can't be much worse than what has been going on down there. Maybe a new voice will help. Seems like there is a lack of direction. Like a JV team who doesn't buy into the varsity program. I am curious about the effect that turn over of NHL head coach may have. A change in philosophy and focus, might be hard on guys trying to learn to play the game at the highest level. While the Ducks are not a beacon of high standards, bringing fresh eyes from the NHL who has no relationships with the current players can't hurt, can evaluate without the green and wheat colored glasses.

Enforceror Verified Member
Sounds like RasmuKampu is coming back to NA to play for Iowa next year. It'll be interesting to see how the year unfolds. I really do feel like a playoff appearance for them would do wonders. Get that winning culture going, inspire some swagger and grab the next level. Hoping Cronin can get them there. Expecting progress from Bankier, Haight, Heidt, Milne, Lambos, Spacek, Jiricek (if not on the big club), Hlavaj.... I believe we'll be seeing some roster changes again as the offseason unfolds.
