They are running out of options, that is for sure. I am trying to figure out who Dallas is going to trade. They have less than $500,000 in cap space and still need to sign 5 more players. Most of their high-priced players have no movement or no trade clauses and I don't see them moving Johnston or Harley. That would leave Marchment, Robertson or Oettinger to move on from. Dumba is definitely on borrowed time in Dallas

And if they move him, they need to replace him, so it doesn't really give them that much extra. Marchment also doesn't gain them enough overall unless they are planning to fill out their roster with AHLers and hope no one gets injured. Harley and Robertson are both up for new contracts next year and will be seeking raises. I realize the cap is going up, but it means this problem isn't going away until Seguin's contract is done if they try to keep all their more talented players. I agree, I really don't see Harley being the one they get rid of. I think it's Robertson. Moving Oettinger means they'd need to get another starting goalie, so it doesn't free up as much as it would seem. Moving Marchment and Dumba could be enough to get them by, but it still would make things really tight for next year too when Harley and Robertson need to be re-signed.
