Apparently there is smoke concerning Pete DeBoer in Dallas too. Players in their exit interviews didn't like the way he conducted himself in the WC finals. He has 1 year left on his contract, so will they keep him or not? Will they leave him as a lame duck coach? 

I don't ever mind reading about drama in Dallas!

That sounds like a team that could get offersheeted! Sadly, it doesn't look like they have anyone to do that to.

Mason Marchement would be awesome as well.  Necas is the RH shot we are missing on our PP.  he has speed and size and a lethal shot.  Much better than Boeser.  Would be great to get Necas and resign him for $8-9mm. Come on Billy let’s get some of these guys.

Can we trade for a coach?  Would love Deboer here.  They can have Hines

Brock Nelson also just resigned with the Avs.  Come on Billy they need the cap space let’s get Necas!!!

Could also trade Rossi to Utah for the number 4 pick.  Good chance of those hitting and have 3yrs entry level contracts

Hmmm, I thought Nelson was a done deal here??? Maybe you don't make deals on the golf course?

Yes, let's go get Necas. I'm not sure about his shot being lethal, but his speed is really good. He is a wing and not a center, but combining him with a Yurov might be very interesting. Necas has developed in a structured system, so if you're looking at point totals, think more of the Canes' totals than this year.

Porter Martone would be that guy. 6'3" 205ish who is a sniper guy and likes physicality. Needs to fill out a bit more but he's a RHS that looks like he has a lot of tools.

Do you think Alex Tuch be harder to pry from Buffalo than JJ Peterka? I know Tuch is from upstate NY so he may not want to, but he only has one more year on his contract. I imagine Buffalo needs to shake some things up to try to get them back into the playoffs.

On the topic of trying to get previously drafted Wild players that have size — I wonder if somehow getting Jack McBain back from Utah would be on Guerin's wish list? He's an RFA this summer. McBain is 25yo and 6'4" 219 lbs. He's a center and also lead Utah in hits. McBain was #6 for the NHL last season with 291 hits (Foligno was #10 with 253 and Trenin was #12 with 241).

The reason we traded away McBain is because he did not want to sign here.  To oversimplify the situation, he felt like he deserved to be in the NHL and didn't feel as though he should have to compete for a roster spot.  

A younger players having that drive and confidence is good in a lot of way, but McBain seemed like he had a bad attitude about the situation.
