Article: The Wild Have To Learn To Take A Punch

I understand playing conservative in OT, but I think that plays into the hands of Vegas.  Vegas is basically designed to win wars of attrition.

The Wild have a much more dynamic but yet balanced game and I think we have exposed Vegas somewhat.  I think we need to keep the gas pedal on and play slightly loose and massively tenacious.  We will break Vegas down.

Not sure we will Will. Vegas is rolling 4 lines, pretty evenly leaning on the whole team. Hynes is playing a 2-3 line games and trying to give very little sheltered minutes to the 4th line and 3rd pairing. Unfortunately, the longer the series goes, the more advantage Vegas has. I hope I'm wrong but Hynes loading up mins for the first line and first pairing might bite us in the end.

When I say break them down, I don't mean physically.  I mean tactically.  Our top line playing to their skill is our best chance to win.  I don't think we should play tight.

Now regarding minutes, yeah you are right.  It's a problem.  They certainly have the depth.  I hope Merrill can come in and play his best hockey... I do think he is less of a liability than Zeev defensively and honestly Zeev wasn't bringing anything offensive to the table to justify him playing.
